Eleonara Maria Mazzoli
Dept. of Media and Communications/London School of Economics PhD Researcher and Research Assistant
London
I am a PhD Researcher in the "Data, Networks and Society" Programme of the Department of Media and Communications at LSE, where I also work as Research Assistant on an ad-hoc basis. Further, I am an Associate Member of ICF Consulting services, for whom I work as media and ICT expert. My background sits within the interdisciplinary subjects of media economics and media policy. I hold an RMA in Media and Performance Studies from Utrecht University (cum laude), and a BA in Management and Economics for Arts, Culture and Communication from Bocconi University (cum laude). My current research is focused on online platforms' content policy and regulation, and their impacts on public service media online. Prior to my PhD, I worked as European affairs assistant at the Legal and Policy Department of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), and as European affairs adviser for RAI, the Italian public service broadcaster, overseeing media policy-related issues. Within the EBU, I also worked as project manager of the EBU Big data Initiative and coordinated the Policy Hub of MediaRoad, an EU-funded media innovation project.
